- Sono andato = I went
- Ero in palestra [I was at the gym]
- Io ero [I was]
- Hai cenato? [Did you have dinner?]
- Ho mangiato gnocchi [I ate gnocchi]
- Tu mangi sempre gnocchi [You always eat gnocchi]
- Questa è la seconda volta che dici "ho mangiato gli gnocchi" [This is the second time you say "I ate gnocchi"]
- Mi piacciono gli gnocchi [I like gnocchi]
- Pranzare = to have lunch
- Io ho pranzato con degli gnocchi [I had gnocchi for lunch]
- Passato prossimo [Present perfect tense]
- Io giocavo a golf [I played/used to play golf]
- Io mangiai [I ate]
- Passato remoto [Remote past tense]
- Cosa hai fatto ieri sera? [What did you do last night?]
- Io sono uscito [I went out]
- A piedi [On foot / Walking]
- Hai una domanda? [Do you have a question?]
- Is = è [Is = is]
- Ho una domanda [I have a question]
- Sei stanca? [Are you tired?]
- Sei stanca oggi? [Are you tired today?]
- Sono sempre stanca alle 10 [I'm always tired at 10]
- Ma oggi particolarmente [But particularly today]
- Può essere [It could be]
- La sveglia [The alarm clock]
- Io mi sveglio = I wake up
- Io mi sono svegliato = I woke up
- Svegliato = participio passato [Woken up = past participle]
- Oggi mi sono svegliato alle 11 [Today I woke up at 11]
- Ma sono andata a letto alle 5 [But I went to bed at 5]
- Letto = bed
- Ho lavorato ad una festa [I worked at a party]
- Tu sei andata a letto [You went to bed]
